Why choose us

The case for one partner

Three things separate a publishing partner from a print vendor. Here is where we stand on each.

Readers in discussion with a Longhorn title
01 — Local presence, regional expertise

Close to the market, not just the map

Our team is in Tsinga, Yaoundé. That means site visits, in-person reviews and a schedule that runs on local realities rather than a distant head office calendar.

It also means working knowledge of the Cameroonian education context and the needs of local learners and educators.

02 — Quality commitment

A review stage that actually blocks

Quality Review is step four of five, and it has the authority to stop a project going to print. Proofreading, factual checks and curriculum alignment are verified against the original brief.

Backed by six decades of group publishing standards — inherited process, not improvised.

03 — Bilingual capability & cultural relevance

Two languages, one standard

In a bilingual country, a French edition that reads like a translation is a liability. Our translators work in the education context daily and localise rather than transpose — examples, names, currency, idiom and classroom register all adjusted.

Both language tracks are planned and scheduled together from day one, so neither edition becomes the afterthought that ships late.

The difference

Full service versus fragmented service

Working with separate vendors

Editorial, design and print each hold a different brief. Handovers lose context. No single party owns the schedule, and when the French edition slips, nobody is accountable for it.

Working with Longhorn Cameroon

One brief, one project lead, one schedule covering both languages, and a quality gate that has to be passed before print. If something slips, you have one number to call.
